Before we went to VA this summer we drove up to NJ for a wonderful stay with family and a great trip to LBI. This island is heaven on Earth. It was Lexi’s first trip to the beach and she loved it. She wasn’t afraid of the water one bit and she loved the sand. She didn’t even eat too much.

While we were in VA for my schooling this summer, we visited one of the Natural Wonders of the World, the Natural Bridge.

We went to Utah/Idaho for Christmas.

We saw Santa

We saw family and got presents.

Lexi sat at my sister’s drums by herself and actually played. It was a fun Christmas.

She also had her first bubble bath. She kept diving in and eating the bubbles. No fear of water here.

Lexi is six months old. She loved our trip. We still can’t believe how good she was. She loved staring and smiling for all the people. She is so bored now that we are home and there is no one to look at all day but me and Ryan. She kept grabbing all the people around us and sometimes tried to jump into their arms. Lexi laughed and went crazy for the stuffed owl. It’s a puppet and the head moves all the way around. She kept trying to hug the thing. She really like Seuss Land. We rode the carousel with her and we went on her first real ride. I thought she didn’t like it while we were on it, but she started laughing after it was over. She was dead tired every night and went straight to sleep.

We rode the a kid’s roller coaster that was by Hagrid’s Hut. We also rode an adult roller coaster that had Triwizard stuff. In the gift shop they sold Marauder’s Maps. They looked very cool and were very expensive.

One of our favorite things about Harry Potter World is the drinks. Butter Beer regular and frozen, Pumpkin Juice and Fizz. Yum. We ate at the Three Broomsticks and got drinks from the Hogshead.

These are the shops with fun/expensive Harry Potter stuff. That is Hermione’s actual dress from the movie. We also saw a wand choosing performed by this guy dressed as Ollivander. The two kids chosen were so excited.

The most magical place on earth is not Disney.

While waiting in line for the best ride ever we saw the Herbology greenhouses, real plants that looked like mandrakes, Dumbledore’s office, portraits, the Fat Lady which didn’t come out well in the picture, and the Gryffindor common room. We didn’t wait longer than 30 minutes for any rides. Ryan picked the best time of year to come. It was so much fun!

For my birthday, we are headed to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter today and staying for a week. I have had the Harry Potter theme song stuck in my head all month. Bah buh buh bah buh buh buh. In the words of Juno, this is so wizard.
